Imperative Form : ( Base form (verb 1) )

In English we use imperatives to :

give very strong advice
give instructions
give orders

The positive imperative is the same as the infinitive. The negative imperative is don't + infinitive.

Notes for use of imperatives :

In English an imperative sentence does not require a subject; the pronoun "you" is implied.

Imperative Example Sentences :

Positive Examples of Imperatives :

Stop smoking.
Do more exercise.
Eat more vegetables.
Do your homework!

Negative Examples of Imperatives :

Don't eat a lot of salt.
Don't drink too much alcohol.
Don't be a couch potato.
Don't show your partner your questions.

It was very nice to see you, say hi to Flora.	.سعدت جداً بمقابلتك, قل مرحباً لفلورا
Let me ask.	.دعنى أسال
Hmm, well okay, let's steal some then!	!همم، حسناً، هيا نسرق البعض إذاً
Let me ask the girls if they want something, too.	.دعنى أسأل الفتيات اذا كن يريدن شيئاً ايضاً
That's fine, say hi to everyone.	.لا بأس, قل مرحباً للجميع
Okay, just tell us how much they pay, then.	.حسنًا، فقط أخبرنا كم يدفعون، إذاً
Let me google it!	!دعينى أبحث عنها فى جوجل
I'm dead serious, just check the prices on your phone.	.أنا جاد بالتأكيد، فقط تحققي من الأسعار على هاتفك
You don't have to go to the garden, dear, just smoke in the kitchen.	.لا يجب أن تذهب إلى الحديقة، ياعزيزي، يمكنك فقط التدخين في المطبخ
